Die Verwendung eines Netzwerkes ist für das Museum beinahe unerlässlich. Es erleichtert sowohl die Installation von Software und ist auch für den Multiplayermodus vieler Spiele unerlässlich.
Windows Datei- & Druckerfreigabe
Zum kopieren von Dateien wird auf den meisten Museumsgeräten Windows 98 benutzt, einige ältere Geräte werden auch unter Windows 95 benutzt.
Als zentrales Datengrab ist die Kartoffel vorgesehen. Als System war NT4 vorgesehen, dieses wurde durch 2000 ersetzt.
